About the society
The Swiss Asia Society aims to promote research on Asia and the Orient at Swiss universities and to create an interdisciplinary forum for people researching and studying languages and literature, cultural, historical and societal developments in these regions. The society publishes the quarterly journal Asiatische Studien/ Études Asiatiques and has published three monograph series with publisher De Gruyter. These publications inform academics and interested members of the public about research results.
